The store pitch is a cozy, spooky co-op trip: two puppies, a kidnapped owner, a haunted mansion, puzzles you solve together, and evil creatures you run from. The live demo lets you play the front of that pitch. It does not hand you the whole mansion, a weapon wheel, or a breed with stats.
You can customize both puppies, sniff, dig, and bark, pin a clue board, split holds and carries, and leave a room when something chases you. You cannot redeem a code, queue a console download, or treat a media name as a checklist item. Kira Pawsley, a black-cat mastermind, and nicknames for creatures stay Unverified.

First is the owner's apartment: a messy room, a broken window, claw marks, a shoe, a fridge creature, and the board. The first-night order is the beginner guide. Second is the street: a cat detective, two fish, and keys. Third is the route toward the factory the board names, including a car that wants both puppies and, if you get inside, locked doors that want an ID card you dig up.
A construction-site sign on that route tells you to find a way in. Read the company name off your own sign. A spider-bodied creature on the approach is a run, catalogued on the creatures page, not a fight this demo teaches.
App 4992280 is a separate free install from app 2861080. Friend's Pass lets a friend join the session you host. Remote Play Together streams your session. Split-screen is local. None of those options is a console release. Dates for Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox stay Unverified on the platform page.
That is the whole playable shape. The next section is how long it takes to walk it, without borrowing a clock from a recording.
LazyFlock has not published a minute count. The length is the spine above, played until the build shows its own stop. Pairs who answer the board before they wander finish in one sitting. A door that wants both puppies, held by one puppy, is what stretches the night. A half-hour guess, or "an hour if you get stuck," shows up in play sessions and is Unverified as an official timer. Do not quote a recording's clock as the demo length.
| Stretch | Done looks like | What stalls you |
|---|---|---|
| Apartment | The board writes a factory sentence | Leaving after only the broken window |
| Street | Two fish delivered, keys in a puppy's mouth | Searching snacks instead of the second fish |
| Factory approach | The ID card from the dig, or the demo's own stop card | Standing still in front of a spider-bodied creature |
| After the stop card | You are finished with this build | Reinstalling Steam 2861080, which is the full game and is still TBA |
Breed, hat, and kitten fur do not have a verified time save. A coat you can tell apart from your partner's coat does, because you stop grabbing the wrong puppy. Set that on the breeds page before you care about the clock.
Carry-over into the full game is Unverified. Beating the demo faster does not bank a chapter. When the stop card appears, the length question is answered.
The fish trade, the car, and the door holds all want two puppies. A solo-only clear is Unverified. Put the second player in with online co-op, split-screen, Friend's Pass, or Remote Play Together, using the co-op page, and then do the three tasks in the next section.
Matched by build plan, shared topics, and guide progression — not random related links.
Three tasks are concrete in the current demo. Everything sold as a hidden ending, a best breed, or a code is not. Do these, then stop when the build stops you.

| Task | Where | Done when |
|---|---|---|
| Pin the extra apartment clues | Messy room: window, claw marks, shoe, fridge ad | The board states a factory destination, not just "find clues" |
| Bring two fish | Street, cat detective | Both fish are handed over and the keys are yours |
| Dig the ID card | By the locked factory doors, after you are told a card is hidden nearby | The dig camera has shown the hole and a puppy is holding the card |
| Kitten fur and the nine accessories | Setup screen | You can tell the puppies apart. Looks are not a cheat |
| Hidden ending list | Nowhere verified | Do not write one. The stop card is the end of this build |
| Black cat, Kira Pawsley, creature nicknames | Media previews | Leave them Unverified. They are not demo keys |
A cat detective on the street asks for two fish and pays with keys. One fish is close enough to sniff from the conversation. The second is a search: check the nearby shop, including the back, and bring it back to the same cat. A proper name spoken in one session stays Unverified. The request is the secret. Split the search so one puppy is not carrying both while the other waits on the wrong curb. If a worker or another figure starts a chase while you grab the fish, both puppies run. That chase is the next section, not a second secret.
Later, a hideout conversation blocks the factory doors on an ID card hidden nearby. Dig there. The camera lifts from behind the puppy toward a top-down view of the hole. Stay on the prompt until the card comes out. Then use the card on the doors that asked for it. Missing posters in the same area are optional reading. Pin one only when the board has a question they answer.
Hats and the kitten-in-disguise fur are the October 19 customization drop. They are documented on the breeds page. Equipping the kitten coat does not open the factory and does not reveal an ending. The next section is the failure mode people search for when that chase, or a hard close, dumps the session.
People search this demo for crashes because a chase feels like a fail state and because Steam sometimes returns you to the library. Those are different problems. A creature catching you is a run you retry. The app closing is a relaunch of Demo 4992280. LazyFlock has not published a crash code, a redeem string, or a list of bad rooms. Do not install a code from another game to "fix" this one.

| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| A figure chases after you grab a fish or another object | Both puppies run for a door you already opened. Barking keeps the creature on you |
| You get hit because the door was late | Retry the same route. Open the door on the way in, before you pick the object up |
| Spider-bodied creature in the factory approach | Turn around and run. The setup screen's arachnophobia option only changes presentation |
| Puppies clip through each other on a hold or a boost | Step apart and grab again. That is a position miss, not a reinstall |
| The window closes or Steam shows the library | Relaunch Demo 4992280. If you were the host, send Friend's Pass again. Do not reinstall full app 2861080 for a demo fault |
| It closes on every launch | Verify the files for demo 4992280 in Steam. There is still no code to paste |
| A friend on console cannot join | Console dates are Unverified. Use PC Steam. See platforms |
| You expected a solo retry button | A solo-only mode is Unverified. Rejoin with the second puppy via co-op |
On the street chase, the working move is to run as soon as the grab succeeds. If you were slow, you were slow. That is not a corrupted install. The same rule covers the spider-bodied creature later: go back through the door you entered. Media names for either figure stay Unverified. Movement rules live on the creatures page.
Friend's Pass and Remote Play Together drop the guest when the host drops. After a real close, the host launches 4992280 again and sends a fresh invite. The guest does not need the full game. Progress carry-over into 2861080 is Unverified either way, so a crash does not delete a full-game save you do not have.
If the files check out and the chase is the only thing going wrong, go back to the beginner guide and redo the apartment board before the street. A clean door behind you is the crash-free fix for the chase. The FAQ is for the free-to-play and carry-over questions.
Next: run the beginner guide if the apartment board still does not name the factory.
Split the fish search and the car on the puzzle page. Invite the second puppy from co-op.
Creature runs stay on creatures. The October 19 coats stay on breeds. Patch notes, if your build's breed list differs, are the LazyFlock Discord.
Yes. Steam app 4992280 is free. The full game, app 2861080, is TBA and is not the demo.
No official minute count. Apartment, street, and factory approach take one sitting if two-puppy prompts keep moving. A half-hour figure from a play session is Unverified as a studio timer.
Extra apartment clues until the board names the factory, two fish for the cat detective's keys, and a diggable ID card at the locked factory doors. There is no verified hidden ending.
A chase is a run, not a crash. If the window actually closes, relaunch Demo 4992280 and verify those files. Do not reinstall app 2861080. There is no redeem code.
Unverified until LazyFlock says so.
Console dates are Unverified. The live demo is PC Steam. Status is on platforms.
That owner name is Unverified media. Follow the board, which says owner.
The beginner guide walks the apartment before these secrets.
